freight elevator dimensions
Use this page to write freight elevator dimensions and freight elevator weight capacity before you treat electric, hydraulic or manual packages as interchangeable. Freight Elevator Sourcing does not rank a winner. The choice follows duty, available power and the shaft or free-standing envelope you already have.
How a buyer walks the option set
Start with geometry, not a power slogan. Car width, car depth, car height, door clear opening and lift height decide whether a pallet and a jack can enter together. Pit depth and overhead clearance decide whether a hydraulic cylinder package, a traction package or a self-supporting tower can even be quoted. Weight capacity belongs next to those numbers, with the load center stated, because a nameplate in lb is not the same as an application load.
Copy the unit names the factory will quote: inches or millimeters for openings, lb or kg for capacity, volts and phase for power. A bare number without a unit is not a comparable line.
Electric, hydraulic and manual packages are buyer options. A hydraulic freight elevator may fit a shallow machine room but still need a tank location. An electric package may need a three-phase supply that the plant does not have. A manual or limited-travel lift may be enough for a two-landing mezzanine with low duty cycle. None of those sentences is a ranking. They are questions the brief should answer so factories do not substitute a different family.
When an alternative arrives, verify the same freight elevator dimensions, the same weight capacity basis, the same door type and the same excluded site work. Reject a substitution that changes pit depth or car size without a written note. Open inquiry options if you still need to name a free standing freight elevator versus a shaft unit.
Open questions before you accept an alternative
Write car width, depth, height, door clear opening, lift height, pit depth and overhead. If any value is a range, say so. Factories cannot hold a door package against a missing opening.
State rated capacity in lb or kg and the application load, including pallet jack or rider if they travel with the cargo. Do not compare a bare nameplate to a loaded pallet train.
List available voltage, phase and frequency, or hydraulic tank space, or a manual / limited-duty note. Choose from duty and available power. Do not ask this desk to declare a universal winner.
Same capacity basis, same geometry, same landing count, same named extras. A substitute that drops pit steel or changes door clear width is a different purchase.

Share freight elevator dimensions, weight capacity, quantity and destination. Power stays an option set until the site notes are written.
